I am at the airport in Honolulu right now, waiting for boarding. I had my very good friend's wedding here in Honolulu on 31st of August. We met in Tokyo 3 years ago through our friend (We actually met before that but as a meaning of having a convesation) and started living together right after we talked. We were roommates for about 2 years and were like a family while we lived together. I have also known the brides for a long time since they started going out almost 3 years ago. Since I knew them for a long time the wedding felt very special for me.

The wedding itself was also so impressive. Since the groom was Hawaiian who has a chinese background and the bride was Japanese, Hawaiian, Chinese and Japanese cultures were mixed in the wedding (I will upload pics later).

今ホノルルの空港で、シアトルに帰るフライトを待っている。友達の結婚式が８月３１日にあり、ホノルルに滞在していた。彼と会ったのは約３年前（もっと前から知っていたがまともに話したという意味で）、友達を通して会ったが会った何時間か後には一緒に住む話をしていた。それから、2年間東京でのルームメイトであり、一緒に住んでいる間俺たちは家族のようだった。新婦のことも彼らがつきあい始めた3年前くらいから知っており、二人をずっと知っていただけに、今回の結婚式はとても感慨深いものだった。

また結婚式自身もとても興味深いものだった。新郎は中国系の家系のハワイアンで新婦は日本人だったので、結婚式はハワイアン、チャイニーズと日本の文化を混ぜたスタイルで行われた（写真を載せたいけど、カメラの調子が悪くて写真を上手くとりこめませんので写真はまた後日）。

I met this interesting guy in Hawaii through my friend . His parents are Japanese but he was born in LA and grew up there. When he was 19 year-old, he decided to come to Tokyo and spent about 6 years as being a chef at a French restaurant. After 6 years in Japan, he was transfered to Hawaii for his job but He quit his job after he came to Hawaii and now is working for another restaurant as a manager. He said that he is thinking of moving to a new place where his intuition will lead him. He has very free mind and seems to be enjoying his life. He was a fun guy to talk with and I think I learned something from him as well.

During this trip he was taking very good care of us taking us a lot of local places even though we just met. He knew a lot of places where most of tourist don't visit and those were really great places, which tells you about real hawaii. This experience made me want to explore more Seattle and other my home towns such as Kobe, Kyoto and Tokyo....

ハワイで友達の紹介で面白い人に会った。19歳迄アメリカで育ち、日本で6年間シェフとして過ごしたが、ハワイへ転勤となり既に4年間ハワイにいる。そして、またどこか彼の本能が導くところへ移ることを考えているという。彼はとてもフリーなマインドを持っていた。言葉にするのは難しいが、彼から何かを学んだような気がする。

今回の旅行の間、彼は会ったばかりにも関わらず僕たちの面倒をとてもよく見てくれた。ツーリストの人たちがこないローカルなスポットにたくさん連れて行ってくれリアルハワイを見た気がした。帰ったらシアトルをもうすこし探索してみようっと。

さて、ちょっと書いてない間に書きたいことがたくさんたまってます。

まず、今日11th hourという映画を見てきました。Leonardo DicaprioがProduceしてる環境問題や地球温暖化についての映画です。こちらでは少し話題になっていますが、初公開はNYとLAだけと聞いていたので、たまたま見つけた時は喜んで早速見に行きました。

内容は、まさに環境問題についてで、映画の中では、色んなScientistとか教授とかが次々に今の環境問題について語っている。そして人間の生きてきた時間は地球の人生から比べると短いがいかに地球に大きなインパクトを与えていて、また今という時代がいかに地球の人生の局面にあるかを語る。企業や経済が重要視されてきたが、そのことが無駄な自然破壊を生み出し消費者である個人はどうなるのかといったメッセージもあった（what about us? indivisuals?というDicaprioの言葉が印象的）。良い映画だと思うので、機会があったら見てみて下さい。

青山フラワーマーケットは好きで時々使います。花のある生活を都会の人に届けたいというわかりやすくしっかりとしたコンセプトの元東京を中心に展開している花屋さんです。花って（特に男には）ちょっと距離のあるものだった気がしますが、このお店ができてから、気軽に花を買えるようになったと思います。オンラインショップが出来ていたので、見ていたらちょっと面白いページがあったので紹介します。青山フラワーマーケットの創業者の思いや、どうやってできたかが書かれています。

後、こちらにはcraigslistという簡易版yahoo auctionみたいのがあります。yahoo auctionなんかよりもう少しlocalっぽくてかなり使えます。アメリカでの人気も相当あります。けれど、社員数は相当少なく、自分たちのやりたいことをやっているという企業のようです。KEEPも方向性をしっかり見いだして、より皆のためになるようにしていきたいですね。

サーモンフィッシングに行ってきました。川の水面からサーモンが飛び跳ねまくり。50匹は見たような気がします・・・。けど、魚がいるのとつれるかは関係なく、自分が釣れたのは・・・。何故か明日も朝から別の場所に釣りに行くことになりましたのでリベンジしてきます！

Pics from salmon fishing I went last weekend. It was unbelievable that I saw tons of salmon jumping out of water in the river. I think there were more than 50... Don't ask me how many I fished, the number of fish in the river has nothing to do with the number of fish we can get... It turned for me to go to another place tomorrow morning for revenge! wish me luck!

ブログに書くべきことではないかもしれないけど、誰かに言いたくてたまらないので書きます。今日は金曜日。仕事が終わって予定はないけど金曜の夜を少しでも満喫しようかと、オフィスの近くの景色がめちゃめちゃいいところに行ってからジャパニーズレストランでも発掘しようかと思ったら、道に迷いまくり。景色のところにたどりつけず、ジャパレスに向かったがこれもたどりつけず、むかついてそのまま帰ることにしたが、途中でDVDでも借りて映画でもみようかとBlockbusterに向かったらこれまた迷い・・・。Blockbusterにはかろうじてたどり着いたものの、やけくそになって借りてたDVDだけ返して帰ってきました。自分は結構な方向音痴ですが、シアトルの道は運転しにくい！昔Californiaで運転してたので思いますが、それと比べても道がややこしいと思います（LAなんかもまあややこしいですが）。あー、やけくそ。もう一人でビール飲んで寝るしかありません！

Its Friday night. Though I did not have any plans, I decided to go see a good view and go to a Japanese restaurant where I have not been to enjoy friday night but... i got lost lost and lost. I couldn't get to the view point, gave up and headed to the japanese restaurant but couldnt get there either... This drove me crazy and i decided to go home. On my way home, i decided to rent a dvd and watch a movie tonight so i headed for Blockbuster nearby my house. then I was lost again... By the time I arrived Blockbuster I was exhausted and I just dropped off the dvd i was renting... Now Im at home with nothing... its friday night! what am i supposed to do except for drinking beer!!!
